for a highly anticipated showdown. plus... police surround a gas station after a violent fight escalates into gun fire. but first... overnight..police shoot and kill a man wanted in a series of robberies- the shooting took place near the 2-15 and hualapai.... this all started as a chase that began near wyoming and commerce after police spotted an suv possibly connected to these robberies officers laid down the suspect.... after the suv was stopped, a confrontation followed and the man was shot. a 13 action news viewer sent us this video... taken moments after the suspect was shot and killed. it looks like it was taken from a balcony. you can see - what looks like - tape stretching across the road....

station that's connected to mcdonalds near hollywood and lake mead. this is chopper 13 fast and first over the scene at around 6... police tell us the fight started between two people near the gas pumps and a 3rd person came up and started shooting. right now police don't have a suspect in custody. a north las vegas firefighter who was killed in the line of duty is being remembered by the community. captain yaphet miller has been laid to rest. our thoughts are with the north las vegas fire department as passed away after 22 years of serving our community. on september 23rd captain yaphet miller was battling a massive fire at a strip mall near rancho and washington. he ended up in the hospital and two weeks later he died. captain miller leaves behind a wife and two kids. . a memorial procession in los angeles county for a murdered police sergeant today... while across the country, two boston officers are in extremely critical condtion after a suspect wearing a

this coming, on the heels of an attack on two palm springs officers over the weekend -- investigators calling it a trap -- that cost them their lives. abc's lauren lyster has more.
